The round Mesa Due table is available in various sizes. The column‑based pedestal is clad in Pelle Frau^® ColorSphere^® with tone‑on‑tone stitching or in leather with contrasting stitching. The pedestal structure is made of steel, internally stabilised thanks to a special internal counter‑weighting system, and it has a shaped plastic tip at the end to protect the floor. The table top is available in various finishes.

Concept and Design

Poltrona Frau has carried out an interesting philological work on the Mesa project: on the basis of a number of original designs by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, it has created a number of new versions of the original table, calling them, fittingly, Mesa Due. Due - two - like its simple geometric shapes, a circle and a cone, combined together to form a table bursting with personality and style.

Lella and Massimo Vignelli

Lella Vignelli was born in Udine and graduated in architecture in Venice. Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied architecture in Milan and Venice. Their work includes graphic design, corporate image work for industry, signs and industrial design; they design furniture, interiors and exhibition installations. Originally based in Milan and since 1965 in New York, the studio works with some of the most important american and European companies and institutions.
