Mesa Due | Rectangular meeting table

Lella and Massimo Vignelli

The top of the Mesa Due Meeting Table is made up of multiple panels and is therefore expandable to various lengths. Depending on the size, the number of supports increases accordingly. All tables can be equipped with customizable accessories to allow easy access to electrical components. The top, with a double panel of medium-density fiberboard, is entirely upholstered in Pelle Frau®. The load-bearing frame under the top is made of black painted iron. The steel support column, stabilized by a counterweight system, is upholstered in Pelle Frau® with tone-on-tone stitching or in Saddle Extra Leather with contrasting stitching. By playing with the leather coverings of the rectangular top, the President Area can be highlighted with an inlay on the short side of a panel that is richer and more refined in tone and craftsmanship.

The Mesa Due meeting table by Poltrona Frau is a solution designed for meeting rooms and boardrooms where formal elegance needs to go hand in hand with contemporary functionality. Designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, it brings an essential, rigorous, and timeless language into the workplace, capable of giving the space authority without resorting to excessive gestures. It is a table that interprets the meeting as a central moment in professional life and, precisely for this reason, helps define the identity of the environment in a clear and recognizable way.

Its presence is particularly well suited to executive meeting rooms where representation and design clarity are fundamental. In a boardroom, council room, or meeting space dedicated to important discussions, the table is not merely a functional support but also the symbolic center of dialogue. Mesa Due responds effectively to this role through an essential yet strongly characterized design, capable of conveying solidity, order, and design culture. It is an ideal choice for companies, professional firms, and organizations that want a space where the furnishings support the quality of professional relationships.

This table is especially suitable for people seeking a contemporary aesthetic that is not tied to passing trends, capable of enduring over time and maintaining authority even in evolving environments. The Vignellis’ signature is evident precisely in the ability to reduce the design to clear, strong forms without sacrificing material refinement. In high-level professional spaces, this quality is particularly valuable because it makes it possible to create meeting rooms that are rigorous without feeling cold, elegant without being ostentatious, and ideal for those who prefer cultured representation over showiness.

The modularity of the top and the availability of multiple sizes make the Mesa Due meeting table suitable for meeting rooms of different scales, from more intimate spaces to large environments intended for numerous participants. This makes it interesting for companies that need to design flexible environments capable of accommodating internal teams, clients, partners, or stakeholders in different settings. The possibility of adapting the table to the size of the room or the structure of the meeting helps create spaces that are more coherent and more effective, without giving up strong visual quality.

Another central aspect is its ability to meet the needs of those who must integrate electrical components and technology while keeping the tabletop organized. Solutions for accessing components and discreetly managing connections help preserve the table’s formal clarity, an important feature in all meeting rooms where technology is necessary but should not become the visual focus. This makes it ideal for contemporary meeting rooms, where laptops, presentation systems, and collaboration tools are part of everyday work but need to be integrated elegantly.

Mesa Due is also particularly suitable for executive spaces that want to reinforce their identity through a table that is strong yet essential. In many corporate projects, the furnishings of the meeting room communicate the cultural and organizational level of a company even before the meeting begins. A table like this can help create that perception of stability, precision, and quality that makes the entire environment more credible. For this reason, it works well in executive headquarters, professional partnerships, boardrooms, and premium contract environments where every choice must be consistent with a high-end positioning.

Its use in prestigious real-world projects confirms its suitability for selected boardrooms and representative professional environments, where interior design works in synergy with the brand, function, and user experience. In these settings, the table becomes part of the spatial narrative: it organizes dialogue, marks the center of the room, and helps define the tone with which the space presents itself.

It can also be particularly compelling for architects, interior designers, and companies that want visual continuity between the meeting room and other executive areas. Its understated yet strongly designed character makes it easy to integrate into offices where coherence, proportion, and material quality matter. The meeting room thus stops being a neutral space and becomes a fully integrated part of the office’s overall identity.

The Mesa Due meeting table by Poltrona Frau is therefore an ideal choice for elegant boardrooms, council rooms, executive meeting rooms, high-level professional firms, and premium corporate headquarters, wherever a table is required that can combine modularity, order, discreet technology, and a strong yet essential formal presence.
